Welcome to tonight’s recap for the National Wrestling Alliance Samhain 2023 pay-per-view! When we open up inside the TempleLive Cleveland Masonic in Cleveland, Ohio, our commentator Joe Galli welcomes us to the first-ever hardcore NWA pay-per-view. There’s never been such a pay-per-view like this in the 75 year history of the NWA.
At the commentator’s table, located at ringside, our commentators – Joe Galli, Tim Storm and Danny Dealz discuss tonight’s pay-per-view.
Kyle Edwards introduces tonight’s Master of Ceremonies, Father James Mitchell, who walks out onto the stage. He welcomes everyone to the show and calls himself “The Sinister Minister” and informs us that the women surrounding him are The Sinettes. He tells us that we’re celebrating the pagan holiday, Samhain. He raises a toast to Cleveland and says it’s time for the action to begin.
MATCH #1: THE DEVIL’S LAST DANCE: ULTIMATE HARDCORE TEAM WAR (IF GAAGZ THE GIMP’S & SAL THE PAL’S TEAM LOSES THEN GAAGZ AND SAL MUST RETURN TO THE MISERABLE FAITHFUL.) – GAAGZ THE GIMP, SAL THE PAL, KOA LAXAMANA & MAGNUM MUSCLE (DAK DRAPER & BIG STRONG MIMS) [WITH: KALLIES] VERSUS JUDAIS, MAX THE IMPALER, ALEX MISERY & MAGIC, INC. (CODY JAMES & “MAGIC” JAKE DUMAS) [WITH: CJ]
Mitchell continues and says that he’s been having trouble with Gaagz The Gimp and Sal The Pal. Therefore, he made a deal with them that if their team defeats his team in the upcoming Devil’s Last Dance: Ultimate Hardcore Team War, he will leave them alone. But if they lose, then they must return to The Miserable Faithful.
It’s now time for the first match at NWA Samhain! This is the DEVIL’S LAST DANCE: ULTIMATE HARDCORE TEAM WAR! This match is a combination of a Survivor Series Elimination Match and the 30-Man Royal Rumble Match. The winners are determined when every member of one team is eliminated either via pinfall or submission, or if they go over-the-top rope and both feet touch the ground. Once a team is eliminated, one member of the eliminated team is allowed to return for one last attempt at victory. Making their way to the squared circle first is the team comprised of JUDAIS, MAX THE IMPALER, ALEX MISERY & MAGIC, INC. Magic, Inc. is a tag team comprised of CODY JAMES & “MAGIC” JAKE DUMAS. They are accompanied to the ring by CJ. It’s now time for the entrance and introduction of their opponents. Making their way to the squared circle is the team comprised of GAAGZ THE GIMP, SAL THE PAL, KOA LAXAMANA & MAGNUM MUSCLE. Magnum Muscle is a tag team comprised of DAK DRAPER & BIG STRONG MIMS. They are accompanied to the ring by KALLIES. The bell rings to officially begin The Devil’s Dance: Ultimate Hardcore team War. It appears Dak Draper and Max The Impaler will officially begin this match first for their respective teams. Max is eliminated when she is tossed over the top rope and her feet touch the ground. CJ jumps off the top rope and nails Dak with a hurricarana when he turns around. Alex Misery then becomes the official participant for his team. Misery is eliminated when he’s thrown over the top rope by Draper. Cody James is now the official participant for his team. Dak is eliminated when he’s pinned by James. Koa Laxamana is now the official match participant for his team. Cody eliminates himself when he jumps over the top rope to hit Koa, who had rolled out of the ring. Kallies and CJ, the managers/valets for members of the two teams, begin to brawl inside the ring. “Magic” Jake Dumas is now the official match participant for his team. Dumas nails Koa with a DDT and pins him to eliminate him. Big Strong Mims is now the official match participant for his team. Jake is nailed with The Big Strong Slam and pinned by Mims to be eliminated. Judais is now the official match participant for his team. Mims eliminates Judais when he rolls him up. Max is returns to the match and is the official participant for her team. Max pins and eliminates Mims. Gaagz The Gimp is now the official match participant for his team. Max hits the lariat on Gaagz and eliminates him. Sal The Pal is now the official participant for his team. Max pins and eliminates Sal. Gaagz returns to the match and is eliminated when Max pins him. The winners of this match are Judais, Max The Impaler, Alex Misery & Magic, Inc.!
THE WINNERS: JUDAIS, MAX THE IMPALER, ALEX MISERY & MAGIC, INC.
Per the pre-match stipulation, Gaagz the Gimp and Sal the Pal must return to The Miserable Faithful and “The Sinister Minister” Father James Mitchell.
At the commentary table at ringside, Joe Galli informs us that NWA Hard times 4 will be the first National Wrestling Alliance pay-per-view in 2024. He added that the location and date will be revealed in the near future.

MATCH #2: LOSER LEAVES TOWN MATCH WITH “THE GIANT KILLER” ROLANDO FREEMAN AS THE SPECIAL GUEST REFEREE – BRADY PIERCE VERSUS RUSH FREEMAN
Our second match of the night is a LOSER LEAVES TOWN MATCH and it features “The Giant Killer” Rolando Freeman as the Special Guest Referee. Making his way to the squared circle first is the SPECIAL GUEST REFEREE – “THE GIANT KILLER” ROLANDO FREEMAN! It’s now time for the participants. Making his way to the squared circle first is RUSH FREEMAN! It’s now time for the entrance and introduction of his opponent. Making his way to the squared circle is “THE MAVERICK” BRADY PIERCE! Once both competitors and the referee are in the ring, the bell rings to officially begin this match. In the final moments of this match, Rolando flips Pierce off before kicking him in the genitals. After Pierce collapses to the mat, Rolando yells at Rush to cover his opponent. Once he does, Rolando begins to make the count on Pierce but before he is able to make the third count, the theme song of “The Indy God” Matt Cardona begins to play.
Making his way to the ring – “THE INDY GOD” MATT CARDONA! Once at ringside, he grabs a chair and enters the ring. He hits both Rolando and Rush Freeman. Then as he is choking Rush with the chair, Pierce begins to cheer Cardona on. So “The Indy God” kicks Pierce in the genitals again and begins to hit him with the chair. Several NWA Referees make their way to ringside and Cardona places Rush on top of Pierce, drags Rolando over to their bodies and then “helps” Rolando make the three count. Kyle Edwards makes the announcement that Pierce won the match but then stops, corrects himself, and announces that Rush is the winner of the match. Apparently, “The Maverick” Brady Pierce is now gone from the National Wrestling Alliance.
THE WINNER: RUSH FREEMAN…VIA PINFALL
Cardona tells the fans that he thought this was supposed to be a hardcore pay-per-view but yet “The Deathmatch King” doesn’t even have a match. Matt is upset that he should be in the main event tonight but he’s not. He has nothing against “The King of Evil” Thom Latimer or the NWA Worlds Heavyweight Champion: “The Overman” EC3. He even kinda respects them. He adds that Latimer is one of the best in the ring and looks like a million bucks. He then asks what kind of a man needs a woman to watch his back? He says he isn’t like that and would never put his wife in harms way. He says Latimer won’t win the NWA Worlds Heavyweight Championship tonight. He says EC3 and Cleveland both suck. Cardona continues by stating that EC3 isn’t the real NWA Worlds Heavyweight Champion because he (Cardona) is. “The Indy God” tells us that he’s not even mad at EC3. He’s mad at the NWA President William Corgan. Cardona ORDERS Corgan to come to Cardona’s ring.
The NWA President walks out to the ring and calls Cardona a liar. He asks “The Deathmatch King” if he was booked for tonight’s pay-per-view and Cardona says he was. Corgan asks Cardona if he was planning on kicking his ass for his open challenge and “The Indy God” says that he wasn’t. He continues and says that he’s a sensible person. He admits that out of the Lightning One era of the National Wrestling Alliance, Cardona has been the biggest drawer. He adds that some people claim he’s too nice and used to call him a “money mark” when he first got into the business. He then declines Cardona’s request to be added to tonight’s main event.
Cardona begins to leave the ring but returns and grabs the chair. He begins to act like he’s going to hit the NWA President until the wife of Thom Latimer, Kamille, runs out of the crowd and spears “The Indy God”. Before he rolls out of the ring, Cardona is hit by Kamille with the chair. She then exits the ring herself and returns to the backstage area.
At ringside, Galli, Storm and Dealz discuss what we just saw.
Backstage, May Valentine interviews the National Wrestling Alliance Worlds Heavyweight Champion: “The Overman” EC3. EC3 says he feels great being in Cleveland tonight for NWA Samhain. He calls himself Cleveland’s guardian. He informs Thom Latimer that he made a mistake and that the best thing going Latimer has is his wife. He adds that women weaken knees. The NWA Worlds Heavyweight Champion continues and states that they both chose their loves. For Latimer, it was his wife and manager – Kamille. For EC3 it was the NWA Worlds Heavyweight Championship. He feels that there will indeed be a mistake made tonight now that “The Indy God” Matt Cardona is involved. He finishes by planning on walking out of the TempleLife Cleveland Masonic still NWA Worlds Heavyweight Champion.

Our next match is a PILLAR-TO-POST MATCH FOR THE NATIONAL WRESTLING ALLIANCE WORLD JUNIOR HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP! A Pillar-To-Post Match is basically a FALLS-COUNT-ANYWHERE MATCH. Making his way to the squared circle first is the challenger “MR. OUTSPOKEN” JOE ALONZO! It’s now time for the entrance and introduction of his opponent. Making his way to the squared circle is the NATIONAL WRESTLING ALLIANCE WORLD JUNIOR HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION – “THE LAST BASTION OF PROFESSIONAL WRESTLING” COLBY CORINO! Kyle Edwards makes an announcement that Alonzo has informed him that he made a mistake when announcing him and that he is actually “THE KING OF OLD SCHOOL” JOE ALONZO! For those that don’t know, Cobly’s father, Steve Corino was known as “The King of Old School”. The bell rings to officially begin this Pillar-To-Post Match. After a very physical match that went all over the TempleLive Cleveland Masonic, Colby nails Alonzo with a DDT before pinning him to retain the NWA World Jr. Heavyweight Championship.

It’s now time for our next match at National Wrestling Alliance Samhain and it’s the first-ever ROCK N’ ROLL TAG TEAM MATCH! We’re told we’ll find out the rules of this match in a few moments. Making their way to the squared circle first – THE SOUTHERN SIX! The Southern Six is comprised of “THE FUTURE LEGEND” KERRY MORTON & ALEX TAYLOR! They’re accompanied to the ring by bartenders and bouncers. We’re then informed that the rules of this match is that if you make a pin attempt on your opponent and you do not get a three count, you must take a shot. It’s now time for the entrance of their opponents. Making their way to the squared circle next – THE HEADBANGERS! The Headbangers is a tag team comprised of MOSH & THRASHER! The bell rings to officially begin this Rock N’ Roll Tag Team Match. Danny Dealz tells us that Ricky Morton, who was supposed to accompany The Southern Six to the ring for this match, has decided to accompany “Thrillbilly” Silas Mason for his match instead. The match ends when Morton pins Mosh with his feet on the ropes.

After the match, Taylor has a shot with The Headbangers but after the shot, Mosh & Thrasher nail him with The Stage Dive.

The match ends when Dane forces Troop to submit to The Camel Clutch to win the Submission Match.

It’s now time for the entrance and introduction of her opponent. Making her way to the squared circle next is the NATIONAL WRESTLING ALLIANCE WORLD WOMEN’S CHAMPION – KENZIE PAIGE! The bell rings to officially begin this NWA World Women’s Championship Match. The match ends when Kenzie delivers The Kenzie Cutter to Ruthie before pinning her to retain the championship.

Our next match is a KINGS OF THE ROUND TABLE MATCH and it’s for the NATIONAL WRESTLING ALLIANCE WORLD TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP! The rules are simple – you must put your opponent through a ROUND table! The table MUST be round! Making their way to the ring first are the challengers – KNOX & MURDOCH! It’s now time for the entrance and introduction of the champions. Making their way to the squared circle next are the NATIONAL WRESTLING ALLIANCE WORLD TAG TEAM CHAMPIONS – BLUNT FORCE TRAUMA! Blunt Force Trauma are comprised of CARNAGE & DAMAGE! We’re informed by the commentators that their manager, Aron Stevens, is not accompanying them to the ring because NWA President William Corgan has banned him from ringside. The bell rings to officially begin this Kings of the Round Table Match. The match ends when Blunt Force Trauma puts Knox through the round table below the stage after he’s knocked out, along with Murdoch, by the knight standing at the entrance. The knight then reveals himself to be the manager of the champions – Aron Stevens.

MAIN EVENT: NO LIMITS MATCH FOR THE NATIONAL WRESTLING ALLIANCE WORLDS HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP – “THE OVERMAN” EC3 (NATIONAL WRESTLING ALLIANCE WORLDS HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION) VERSUS “THE KING OF EVIL” THOM LATIMER [WITH: KAMILLE]
It’s now time for the MAIN EVENT of NWA SAMHAIN! This match is a NO LIMITS MATCH for the NATIONAL WRESTLING ALLIANCE WORLDS HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP! This is basically a NO DISQUALIFICATION MATCH! Making his way to the squared circle first is the challenger “THE KING OF EVIL” THOM LATIMER! Latimer is accompanied to the ring by KAMILLE! It’s now time for the entrance and introduction of the champion. Making his way to the squared circle next is the NATIONAL WRESTLING ALLIANCE WORLDS HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION – “THE OVERMAN” EC3! The bell rings to officially begin this match. Towards the end of the match, Kamille enters the ring and hands Latimer a chair with “CLE” written on the seat of it in black spray paint. After Latimer hits EC3 several times with the chair, he tells Kamille to give him a kiss, which she does and then she stands behind him. He goes to hit the champion with the chair again but “The Overman” kicks him into Kamille, who falls into the lower turnbuckle. The challenger doesn’t check on his wife, instead he sets up a chair, sits down to begin yelling at him. In the background, “The Indy God” Matt Cardona appears in the ring and prepares to hit the Bro-kick on Kamille but instead hits Latimer when Latimer jumps on top of his wife to protect her. Then EC3 throws Cardona out of the ring and delivers The Jay Driller to Latimer before pinning him to retain the NWA Worlds Heavyweight Championship.
THE WINNER: AND STILL NWA WORLDS HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION – “THE OVERMAN” EC3…VIA PINFALL
After the match, the referee holds EC3’s hand in the air to signal he’s the victor in the match before Cardona sneaks into the ring and stands behind the champion. Cardona slowly claps for the champion as the EC3 turns around. They exchange words before the reigning Worlds Heavyweight Champion of the National Wrestling Alliance exits the ring. Then as Cardona is watching the champion walk away, Latimer walks up behind him and punches him several times before clotheslining him out of the ring. Latimer and Kamille check on each other before exiting the ring.
NWA Samhain ends with a shot of the National Wrestling Alliance Worlds Heavyweight Champion: “The Overman” EC3 sitting on the thrown on the stage.
