Dothan, Alabama – January 5, 2024 – The National Wrestling Alliance (NWA) is thrilled to announce its signature live event, Hard Times 2024, comes to the historic Dothan Civic Center on March 2, 2024.  This marks a momentous occasion for wrestling fans in Dothan, as it is the first televised wrestling to grace Dothan Civic Center in over a decade.

Hard Times 2024 promises to be a spectacular showcase of top stars within the NWA, with all NWA titles up for grabs, including the prestigious NWA World’s Heavyweight Championship.  Fans can expect an electrifying night of world-class wrestling action to keep  them on the edge of their seats.

National Wrestling Alliance President William Patrick Corgan expressed his excitement about bringing Hard Times 2024 to Dothan, stating, “We are thrilled to bring the hard-hitting action of the NWA to the passionate fans in Dothan.  It’s been a long time coming, and we are committed to delivering an unforgettable experience.  The Dothan Civic Center has a rich history with wrestling, and we aim to add another chapter to that legacy.”

In a historic move, NWA Powerrr, the flagship program of the National Wrestling Alliance, will feature matches from Hard Times 2024.  These episodes will broadcast exclusively through NWA’s esteemed partner, the CW, allowing fans across the nation to witness the excitement and drama unfold in the ring.  Episodes of NWA Powerrr are available to stream now for free on the CW app.

For many years, Dothan was a hotbed of professional wrestling dating back to the 1960s through the early 1990s.  During the original NWA territory system, Gulf Coast Championship Wrestling, then Southeastern Championship Wrestling and finally Continental Championship Wrestling ruled Dothan.

Alabama has a rich wrestling history, with passionate fans who have supported the sport for generations.  The return of televised wrestling to the Dothan Civic Center harks back to a time when the roar of the crowd and the clash of titans echoed through the arena, creating memories that linger in the hearts of wrestling fans.
