Moments ago, WWE’s Twitter account announced that New Day member, Xavier Woods, has been injured after he suffered a cervical strain this past Monday on WWE Raw after he was hit with a chair, thrown by “The Scottish Warrior” Drew McIntyre.  The tweet stated that due to the injury, Woods will miss this Monday’s episode of RAW.  In the announcement, they also mentioned that Woods is considered “week-to-week”.  The company usually does not mention information like that.

Yesterday afternoon, on Woods’ official Twitter account, he stated that this past Monday was his birthday and he was “…pumped to be out there…”, he added that he suffered whiplash (Whiplash causes either cervical strain or cervical sprain and according to WWE’s tweet, Woods suffered cervical strain.) and his doctors have ordered “…no wrestling next week”.

It was announced this week that McIntyre and “The Original Bro” Matt Riddle will face off against The Viking Raiders in a Tornado Tag Team Match this week when WWE Raw airs live from the Spectrum Center in Charlotte, North Carolina beginning at 8:00 P.M. Eastern.  For ticket availability, visit https://www.ticketmaster.com/event/2D005ECCEBB44AFF.

Also scheduled for this Monday’s episode of WWE Raw: WWE Intercontinental Champion: “The Ring General” Gunther, of Imperium, defends the WWE Intercontinental Championship against Alpha Academy’s “Master” Chad Gable.  If Gunther is successful in this championship match, he will become the longest reigning Intercontinental Champion in the 44-year history of the WWE Intercontinental Championship.  Plus, the fall out from this Saturday’s WWE Payback premium live event takes place as the roads to WWE Superstar Spectacle (Saturday, September 8, 2023) and WWE Fastlane (Saturday, October 7, 2023) begin.

WU Online would like to wish a speedy get-well to Xavier Woods and our prayers are with him.
